Garden Transformation at Gorokan Gallery

This garden transformation took place to make the most of this space and create a low maintenance garden. The raised garden beds that surrounded the perimeter were not the easiest to maintain and didn't serve to be of good use.

As a solution, we enlarged the appearance of the back yard by removing these raised garden beds and building retaining walls out of low maintenance, long lasting concrete sleepers. To create a low maintenance garden bed, we planted native trees with a selection of native species and also also succulents to the clients taste that would grow to fill the garden with different colours and dimensions over time. The bed was weed matted and covered with pebbles to ensure that minimal weeds will take over the area and was edged with concrete sleepers to tie into the retaining wall behind.
